The line that stops people mid-tour is not the ceiling height and it is not the concrete. It is this: there is a tunnel under the road.
It runs from the property to Fox Hollow Golf Club, wide enough for a golf cart, and it exists so that owners can get to the course without crossing a road that carries real traffic.
Why a tunnel and not a crosswalk
A crosswalk would have been cheaper. It also would have meant sitting at the edge of the pavement in a cart, waiting for a gap, with people who did not expect a golf cart there. The tunnel takes the whole problem off the table.
What it produces day to day is simple. You leave your suite. You do not get in a car. Nine or eighteen holes, lunch, and you are back with the door up in the afternoon. Fox Hollow remodeled its restaurant and bar, so the food side of that is worth doing on its own.
What else is close
Within a couple of miles of 5000 Odessa Ave NE:
- Fox Hollow Golf Club, reachable by cart through the tunnel
- A movie theater
- Restaurants
- Gas
And on the property, an indoor pickleball court, brand new and open to owners.
This matters more than it sounds like it should. A place like this lives or dies on whether there is a reason to stay for the afternoon. If the nearest food is a twenty-minute drive, people come, do the thing they came to do, and leave. If it is five minutes away, they stay, and other owners are still there when they get back.
The location argument, said plainly
St. Michael sits minutes off I-94. From the west metro — Maple Grove, Plymouth, Minnetonka — the drive is short and it runs against the worst of the traffic rather than into it.
Being close to the highway is not the same as being close to anything you want. Some sites have one and not the other. This one has both, plus ten protected acres of pond and woods out the back.
Ask to see it
The tunnel is not on the standard walk-through unless you ask, which is a mistake we keep making. Ask. It is a strange and genuinely good thing to stand in, and it explains the property faster than a brochure does.
Sales offices are open in Unit D14, and the next public events on the property are V8’s & Vaults Fall Preview on Sunday, September 20, and Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 18.
See the suites or get in touch. The sales offices are open in Unit D14, 5000 Odessa Ave NE, St. Michael.
