Suites
Every suite at The Hide Out is a deeded garage condo, built of reinforced concrete block and structural steel, and finished to its owner’s own plan. Room for the collection, the shop, the bar, and the people you want around all of it.
A Lounge, a Shop, a Place to Gather
These suites get built into whatever their owners have been waiting to build. A lounge and bar for a night with friends. A private arcade. A hunting-lodge retreat. A machine shop. A squarebody-truck showroom. A second office with a lift in the next room. Bar, lounge, office, full bathroom, mezzanine layout, and extra windows and man doors all go where they make sense for your floor plan. The shell is the same; almost nothing else has to be.
The Mezzanine Is Part of the Building
Every suite comes with a concrete mezzanine, built into the building from day one. It is not a loft framed in after closing. It is structural, it was designed to carry a lounge, a bar, a pool table and the people standing around all of it, and the building’s fire protection was designed with it already in place. There is nothing to add and nothing to re-engineer. Finish it however you want.
Concrete, on Purpose
Reinforced concrete block and structural steel on concrete floors. Concrete does not burn, so the wall between one suite and the next offers real resistance to fire. It is quiet: block walls keep your noise in and your neighbor’s out. Concrete gives mold nothing to feed on, it does not rot, and it does not care what the humidity did last August. A building made of it behaves the same in year twenty as it did in year one.
Your Floor Gets Poured After You Buy
We pour your floor once we know what you are putting on it. Drains where you want them, trenches that line up with your bays, conduit and plumbing run before the concrete goes down instead of chased through it afterward. A lift footing, a wash bay, a bathroom up on the mezzanine instead of on the parking floor: decisions made in the right order, while they are still cheap to make.
Built Close to Home
Most of what went into these buildings was made within seventy-five miles of the site, and the block comes from western Wisconsin. There is no lumber in the structure, so nobody cut down trees in Canada to build it. Buying close keeps schedules honest and keeps the money in the region, and when something needs to be right, the people who made it are a short drive away.
Headroom
Block and steel let these walls go taller than a wood-framed building practically can. That headroom is what lets an owner stack three full-size trucks on a lift, which is exactly what is happening in one of our smaller suites right now. It is room for a coach, for a lift, and for a mezzanine with plenty of space above it. Fourteen-foot overhead doors carry it out to the driveway, so the room is usable coming and going.
Most of our suites have twenty-five feet of clear height.
A Nature Preserve Out Back
A nature preserve sits right along the west side of the site, with a pond, wetland and a wooded hill beyond. The buildings were laid out facing it on purpose, so the sunset is visible from almost every suite and the view out the back stays the view out the back.
Room Between the Buildings
The space between buildings is never less than sixty feet, about twice the width of a residential street. It was laid out for trailers: you can make a U-turn between the buildings with a full-size truck and a trailer behind it.
Golf Cart to Fox Hollow
Fox Hollow Golf Club is just to the east. Ride out through the neighborhood across the road and a tunnel takes you under the road to the course, so you can take a golf cart from The Hide Out to the first tee without crossing traffic.
Indoor Pickleball
Owners have an indoor, heated pickleball court on site, open year-round.
A Place People Come To
The Hide Out hosts V8s & Vaults, the Wright County Whiskey Club and owner gatherings through the year. On event days, the drive aisles fill up.
Garage Condo Ownership: A Private Space You Own
You own it. A suite at The Hide Out is a condominium you hold title to. The association handles the roads, the snow, the grounds and the exterior, so your time goes into the space itself rather than the upkeep around it. Owners finish their suites to their own taste and their own use, which is why no two of them look alike.
