Suites

The Hideout Supermax Suites offers luxury garage condos for sale in St. Michael, Minnesota, near Albertville and Otsego in the northwest Twin Cities area. Our individually owned car condos give you room for collector cars, a private workshop, hobbies and entertaining, with the freedom to customize your space.

Garage Condo Ownership: A Private Space You Own

You own it. A suite at The Hideout is a condominium you hold title to, not a unit you rent by the month and vacate when the lease turns over. The association handles the roads, the snow, the grounds and the exterior, so the hours you spend here go into the space itself rather than the upkeep around it. Owners finish their suites to their own taste and their own use, which is why no two of them look alike.

Twenty-Five Feet of Clear Height

Clear height is the number that decides what a building can actually do, and it is the number most listings quietly avoid. Our tall suites carry twenty-five feet of clear height — measured floor to structure, not floor to the lowest pipe hanging under it. That is the difference between fitting a coach and fitting a coach with the rooftop unit still on. It is the difference between owning a lift and stacking three full-size trucks on one, which is exactly what an owner is doing in one of the smaller suites right now. Oversized overhead doors carry the height out to the driveway, so the clearance is usable coming and going, not just once you are parked inside.

The Mezzanine Is Part of the Building

The mezzanines here are structural concrete, part of the building itself — not a wood-framed loft added after closing and not a line item that appears on a change order. Concrete floors below, concrete above. Ask for the load rating anywhere else you look. A mezzanine meant to hold a lounge, a bar, a pool table and the people standing around all of it is a different piece of engineering than one rated to hold storage boxes, and the rating is where that difference shows up.

Concrete, on Purpose

Reinforced concrete block, poured floors, steel. Concrete does not burn, so the wall between one suite and the next offers real resistance to fire rather than a rating earned by a layer of gypsum. It also does not transmit sound the way stud framing does, it does not rot, and it does not care what the humidity did last August. A building made of it behaves the same in year twenty as it did in year one.

Your Floor Gets Poured After You Buy

Most developments hand you a finished slab and let you work around it. We pour yours once we know what you are putting on it. Drains where you want them, trench locations that match your bays, conduit and plumbing run before the concrete goes down instead of chased through it afterward. In-floor heat, a lift footing, a wash bay — these are decisions made in the right order, while it is still cheap to make them.

Collector-Car Storage, Private Workshops and Hobby Space

Bar, lounge, office, full bathroom, mezzanine layout, additional windows and man doors placed where they make sense for your floor plan. Suites here have been built out as a machine shop, a hunting-lodge retreat, a squarebody-truck showroom and a second office with a lift in the next room. The shell is the same; almost nothing else has to be.

Built Close to Home

Most of our products come from within seventy-five miles of the site, and the block comes from western Wisconsin. That keeps schedules honest and keeps the money in the region. It also means when something needs to be right, the people who made it are a short drive away rather than a shipping container away.

Ten Acres, a Tunnel, and Room to Breathe

There are ten acres of protected land behind the buildings that will never be developed, so the view out the back stays the view out the back. A tunnel runs under the road connecting the two sides of the property, so you are not crossing traffic to get from your suite to the rest of it. The parking, the drive aisles and the turning radii were laid out for trailers and coaches, not for compact cars.

A Place People Come To

The Hideout hosts V8’s & Vaults, the Wright County Whiskey Club, cars-and-coffee mornings and owner gatherings through the year. Most storage sites empty out on a Saturday. This one fills up.
