Friday night, the overhead doors go up, the bottles come out along the bar, and this place stops being a building full of suites.
The Wright County Whiskey Club is here again on Friday, October 2.
What the night is
A themed tasting, a room full of people, pizza on the table, and a couple hours of talking to strangers who turn into people you know. Some of the crowd ends up upstairs on a mezzanine looking down at it. Cars in the aisle. Doors open to the evening.
If you have only ever seen photos of this place empty, this is the version worth seeing.
Who runs it
The Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit out of Wright County. They have raised more than three hundred thousand dollars for local charities since 2022, and they run themed tastings every six to eight weeks. They bring the whiskey and the crowd. We bring the room.
That arrangement says something about what we were trying to build out here. A place with nothing happening in it is just storage with a nicer floor.
How to get in
It is ticketed through the Club, not through us. Tickets are at wrightcountywhiskey.club, and these nights have a habit of selling out, so do not leave it until Friday afternoon.
The address is 5000 Odessa Ave NE, St. Michael. Come early enough to look around before the room fills up.
